In 2017 August, The International Convention for the Prevention of Environmental Pollution and Health Damage by Mercury [Minamata Convention on Mercury] is issued and production and sales are prohibited in 2020 in principle. Water sterilization is attracting attention as a result of serious problems such as water pollution and water shortage caused by the economic development of emerging countries, but mercury is conventionally used for the deep ultraviolet lamp, which is said to be effective in sterilization and is called UVC region of 280 nm or less. In the future, it will be replaced to deep ultraviolet LEDs that do not use mercury, and it is expected a growth in demand.
Imprint process using own-developed nanoimprint equipment [TEX series] realizes to improve the light extraction efficiency in the wavelength range of 280 nm or less for deep ultraviolet LEDs.
To Improve light extraction efficiency with non-vacuum, non-pressurized imprinting machine, TEX series.
- We will exhibit TEX-01 which is effective in R & D on actual machine.
