A job which makes use of language skill
I am a sales of Food dept. The organization consists of HOTERES(Hotel & restaurant) sales team and Retail sales team and I belong to Retail sales team.
When I was a student, I have home stayed in France where I got to love cheese, wine and especially Iberico cured ham. So I decided to join Kyodo International, Inc..
The office atmosphere is always lively and full of positive conversations. As an importer, we often welcome business partners from overseas and communicate with them in English, French, Italian and Spanish. In every March, we participate in the biggest food show in Japan and almost all foreign suppliers get together at the time. Occasionally, there are chances of overseas business trip for new products finding and in such opportunities, I take advantage of my language skill. However more important thing is the spirit of inquiry in foods.
The situation of food industry is rather tough. Every year we see more competitors, less market prices and more complex demand in the market. Therefore, how to develop unique products and unique way of selling which has originality, hard-to-imitate, put value by ourselves become more important.
I look forward to working with person who can change negative to positive, who has a will to change the situation and moreover, who loves to eat good foods.
