3D cell culture system
Apart from few cells, most of the in vivo cells exists in 3D format. It is desired to do imaging of 3D culture cells which are thought to have the similar responses as biological body.
We offer long term timed-lapse imaging of spheroid by collaboration between the incubator, Chamlide WP which can use well plate and 3D Culture Well Plate which can make spheroid culture.

What is 3D Culture Well Plate?
3D Culture Well Plate has microfabrication pattern on the surface of the plate.
By extending antipodal like structure, cell adhere to microfabrication pattern and grow in 3D.
Because it can form adhesive spheroids.
- Can easily exchange medium. Usual culture handling is ok.
- Suitable for all sorts of molecular biological analysis.
- Thought to express functions similar to in vivo cells.
You can observe by differential interference and fluorescent observation because aspect of the well plates has the low bridfringence and low autofluorescence.

Differences between 3D Culture Well Plate & Normal Plates
This is an example of comparison between seeding cells on the 3D Culture Well Plate and normal plates. While cells on normal plate grow in monolayer, cells on 3D Culture Well Plate grow in 3D and form multicell spheroid.
A data exists about cultured cells on the 3D Culture Well Plate, which said that it has similar condition to cells in in vivo not only the forming condition of the cells but also cell growth and gene expressions.
